World Trade Center Arkansas staff welcomes Mark O’Mell, the new Executive Director of Crossroads Coalition, to Northwest Arkansas. The Coalition is comprised of 8 counties in eastern Arkansas, more commonly known as the Delta. The Coalition is a public/private partnership of business, community, civic, and nonprofit organizations working toward the shared vision of building a regional economic development program. The Delta region consists of farmers, food producers, and manufacturing, especially automotive and steel. O’Mell hopes to continue to grow businesses and improve quality of life in Eastern Arkansas. “We are 8 counties with one ambition: creating opportunity,” said O’Mell. During the meeting with O’Mell, two potential projects were discussed. The WTC Arkansas would like to work closely with the Coalition in recruiting companies for the upcoming trade mission to Cuba, as well as future trade events in Africa. The WTC Arkansas is eager to collaborate with O’Mell and the Coalition.
