3rd Cuba Opportunity Summit to be held on Oct. 23

March 7, 2017 – The 3rd Cuba Opportunity Summit will be held at the Nasdaq Marketsite in New York City on Oct. 23, 2017. 

The Cuba Opportunity Summit will be hosted by Michelle Caruso-Cabrera and will be co-chaired by Faquiry Diaz Cala, CEO of Tres Mares and Mauro F. Guillen, the International Management Director for the Lauder Institute of the Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania.

Past keynote presenters have included Carlos Gutierrez, Co-Chair of the Albright Stonebridge Group and 35th United States Secretary of Commerce.

Since the inaugural event on April 1, 2015, more than 1500 industry professionals representing over $12 billion in assets under management have participated in Cuba Opportunity events, gained exclusive insights and developed meaningful relationships as part of their investment and market-entry strategy.

The World Trade Center Arkansas, Senator John Boozman, R-Ark., Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson and Representative Rick Crawford, R-Ark. actively promote Arkansas’ agriculture industry in Cuba and promote the ease of restrictions for doing business with Cuba in the U.S.

The World Trade Center Arkansas organized Gov. Hutchinson’s trip to Cuba in Sept. 2015. This trip made him the first U.S. governor to visit the island since diplomatic ties were restored. The World Trade Center Arkansas led another visit by an Arkansas delegation in June 2016 and in Nov. 2016.
