World Trade Center Arkansas attends SIDO meeting

The World Trade Center Arkansas attended the State International Development Organizations (SIDO) annual board meeting on Sunday, February 25, 2018 in Washington, D.C.

The meeting consisted of open discussion with strategic partners, updates on the SIDO website web localization, conferences for 2019 and budget and administration discussions.

SIDO is the only national organization exclusively dedicated to supporting state level international trade development agencies such as the World Trade Center Arkansas. They are a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization.

Dan Hendrix, president and CEO of the World Trade Center Arkansas attended this meeting on behalf of the Center. Hendrix was chosen to serve as a SIDO board member in May 2017.

“SIDO is dedicated to sharing innovative ideas and resources among its members,” Hendrix said. “The organization advocates the interests of states in trade promotion and serves American exporters. As a member of the leadership, we can pool our experience in export promotion with fellow members of this organization so that each of us can benefit from the other’s contributions to trade development.”

The mission of the World Trade Center Arkansas is to grow trade and increase Arkansas exports by connecting Arkansas businesses to the world through international trade services.
