Dec. 14, 2018 – The World Trade Center Arkansas launched Gateways, the official podcast series today which will serve as a resource for Arkansas companies engaging in international business and trade.

“We are pleased to launch the newest addition to our pool of services that we provide to the state of Arkansas,” said Dan Hendrix, president and CEO of the World Trade Center Arkansas. “The Gateways podcast will be a valuable tool for companies in the state to understand complex issues that are often encountered when exporting, importing or determining which markets are good for business.”

The Gateways podcast will also be a platform to discuss current trade matters, bilateral relationships, and for international business professionals to share workforce success stories.

The podcast series is a collaborative effort with the University of Arkansas Global Campus and is recorded in the Global Campus studio. The first five episodes of the Gateways podcast are available at arwtc.org/gateways

These episodes feature guests such as:

  • Ambassador of Kenya, Robinson Njeru Githae, discussing the current relationship between Kenya and Arkansas
  • Commissioner Brenda Smith of the Office of Trade for U.S. Customs and Border Protection offering insight on ways to handle common customs issues
  • Delon Chan, the consul and trade commissioner of the Consulate General of Canada in Dallas, explaining how Arkansas companies can do business with Canada

“The Gateways podcast will also serve as a resource for international businesses to gain insight into Arkansas companies,” Hendrix said. “As active trade promotion members of the World Trade Centers Association, our goal is to contribute to a global network of 320 World Trade Centers in 88 countries, leveraging these relationships to grow bilateral trade for our state.”
